Sage Payroll already includes many pay components you can use. You can edit them to suit your company or create new ones if needed.
You can add pay components during each pay run or include them in an employee’s or pay group’s template for automatic use.
There's default pay groups in Sage Payroll already include common pay components, so you can easily enter payment and deduction amount.
📎Note: You can only delete predefined transactions if the pay component is new and no employees have used it.
Create a Custom pay component
To create a new pay component:
From Settings, select Pay Components.
Select Add New Pay Component.
Enter the details for the component as required, then Save.
📎Note: When you create a deduction, you can choose whether it’s tax‑deductible and add an IRP5 code.
