To get the most from Performance, we recommend you set up the following before using the module.

📎NOTE: Only an admin has permissions to set up and manage performance settings.

Before you start

📎NOTE: If you use Sage HR integrated with Sage Payroll UK, there are different steps to subscribe to Sage HR modules. Trials are also not available with this integration.

General Settings

Select which modules you want to make available within performance.

Performance Permissions

Control the depth of access for a manager.

Performance Groups

Create performance groups, performance group managers, and assign employees to performance groups.

Goals

Select your goal methodology name and other optional goal settings.

360 Feedback

Control how you want feedback to appear - add competencies, edit review settings, and edit mail templates.

Surveys

Access survey settings in preparation to create surveys and look at survey reports.

Development Goals

Create development goal templates and development methods.

Competencies

Create general and professional competencies.

1-to-1

Organise your section order, create meeting checklists, and create meeting templates.

Review Cycles

Create reminders for review-related tasks such as 1-to-1 meetings.

What to do next?

Now you've set up Performance you're all sorted to start tracking the development of your employees and their progress in achieving their goals.

Before you do that, if you have other additional Sage HR modules, we recommend you set these up next.

Provide access to employees

Once you've set up all your active Sage HR modules, if you haven't already sent your employees welcome emails, you can send them now so they can start using Sage HR.

📎NOTE: If you already sent employees welcome emails, but you disabled their access until you were finished setting up, you should enable their access now. If required, you can easily resend them a welcome email.

📌TIP: If you want to get up to speed with using Performance, visit our free e-learns in Sage University.
