Set up Recruitment

Use these guides to set up Recruitment in Sage HR, including permissions, groups, pipelines, and templates.

Written by Oliver Cook

To get the most from Recruitment, we recommend you set up the following functions before using the module.

This collection helps you configure Recruitment before you start hiring.

Before you start

Make sure you have:

General Settings

Create recruitment administrators, disqualification reasons, and custom sources.

Recruitment Groups

Create recruitment groups and assign permission levels for the hiring process.

Pipelines

Create the step‑by‑step process applicants follow during recruitment.

Scorecards

Set up how you rate applicants at different stages in your pipeline.

Practical Tasks

Create practical task templates to use during the recruitment process.

Email Templates

Create email templates to automate applicant communication.

Requisition

Set up how employees request new roles that your company needs to fill.

Data retention

Automate how you collect consent to store applicant data for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) purposes.

What to do next?

Once you finish setting up Recruitment, you can start tracking applicants for new roles.

If you use other Sage HR modules, set these up next:

Provide access to employees

After setup, send welcome emails so employees can access Sage HR.

📎NOTE: If you disabled access during setup, enable it now. You can resend welcome emails if needed.

📌TIP: Use the free Recruitment e‑learning courses in Sage University to learn how Recruitment works.
