Prepare your payroll
Validation and preparation are key to ensure the information provided on the employee certificates is correct.
đNOTE: From the 2026 year of assessment onward, you must include income tax reference numbers on all tax certificates.
Reconcile your financial values
Ensure your PAYE, SDL, UIF and ETI balances on your payroll and declare to SARS.
Submit your reconciliation and certificates to SARS
Be sure to submit before the deadline of 31 October to avoid the rush and queues.
How do submit my reconciliation and tax certificate to SARS
đNOTE: You don't need to distribute tax certificates to employees during the mid-year tax submission process.
The mid-year submission is primarily for reporting employee tax information to SARS. Employees typically require their tax certificates after the final year-end tax submission.
