Exclude an employee from SDL

How to exclude an employee from the Skills Development Levy (SDL) in Sage Payroll and HR.

When you exclude an employee from SDL, the system stops including the employee in SDL calculations. Ensure that the employee meets the applicable exemption requirements before applying the exclusion.

Exclude an employee from SDL

  1. Go to Employees.

  2. Select the employee.

  3. Open the Tax tab.

  4. Select Exclude from SDL.

  5. Save the changes.
