Exclude an employee from UIF

How to exclude an employee from the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) in Sage Payroll and HR.

When you exclude an employee from UIF, the system stops calculating UIF contributions for that employee. Ensure that the employee meets the applicable exemption criteria before applying the exclusion.

Exclude an employee from UIF

  1. Go to Employees.

  2. Select the employee.

  3. Open the Tax tab.

  4. Select Exclude from UIF.

  5. Select the appropriate UIF exclusion reason.

  6. Save the changes.
