Deactivate or reactivate a pay run

Deactivate unused pay runs or reactivate them when needed in Sage Payroll.

Deactivation helps keep the Pay Run List clean without deleting historical data.


Access the Actions menu

  1. Go to Pay runs.

  2. Open the Pay Run List.

  3. Select the Actions button on a pay run tile.

Deactivate a pay run

  • Moves the pay run to the Inactive list

  • Stops reminders and notifications

Reactivate a pay run

  • Moves the pay run back to the Active list

  • Resumes notifications

šŸ“ŽNOTE: Additional pay runs don't appear in Inactive and Reactivated pay runs return to their original schedule.
