Error: Saving employee profiles

Employee profiles don't save when the record contains invalid data, most often an incorrect South African identity number.

Sage Payroll doesn't perform full validation on South African identity numbers. When the system detects invalid data, such as an incorrect check-digit, it prevents the record from saving without generating an error message. Correcting or removing the invalid identity number allows the profile to save successfully.

This behavior relates to data accuracy and doesn’t indicate a defect in Sage Payroll.
