How to give an open shift template a default area.

You can assign a default area to an open shift template. This means when you use a open shift template to add an open shift, if an employee has not been assigned their own default area, the default area from a open shift template will be used instead.

Only employees with administrator and scheduling administrator access can follow these steps:

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the general settings menu click Scheduling, then click Shift templates.

  3. Click on the pencil icon next to the relevant shift template.

  4. Select an area from the Default area drop-down.

  5. Click Save.
