Edit a time off policy

Edit a time off policy in Sage HR to update settings.

You can edit a time off policy at any time if you have the correct access. Some settings you can’t change after you create the policy.

  1. Select your name in the top‑right corner.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Time off, then Policies.

  4. Select Settings on the policy you want to edit.

  5. Make your changes.

  6. Select Save.

📌TIP: Select Eligibility on the policy to change which employees it applies to.

📎NOTE: You can’t switch a policy between calendar‑based and working pattern‑based. Create a new policy instead.


📎NOTE: Some settings in labour‑based policies remain fixed after you create them.
