Sage HR is an online HR portal for your employer. To be able to log in for the first time, the following needs to happen.

  1. Your employer must add you to their Sage HR company, entering an email address which you use to log in with.

  2. Your employer must send you a welcome email to that email address they used to add you.

  3. You must create a Sage account from this welcome email.

  4. Once you have created a Sage account under that email address, you can log in to Sage HR.
    โ€‹
You can access multiple companies with that email address as long as those companies used the same email address for you.

We explain below how to set up your access so you can log in.

Before you start

Have your welcome email to hand.

  • If you haven't received a welcome email, check your junk or spam folder, and check your employer has sent one to you using the correct email address

  • If you've received a welcome email but it's expired ask your employer to resend it to you

๐Ÿ“ŽNOTE: The email address your welcome invite is sent to is the one you use to log in going forward. If you need this to be a different email address please contact your employer.

Set up your access

In your welcome email, if you don't already have a registered Sage account (formerly known as Sage ID) under the email address used by your employer, you need to create one before you can log in.

  1. In your welcome email, click Create Sage ID to create your login.โ€‹

  2. Enter your first name, last name, a password, and confirm your password.

๐Ÿ“ŒTIP: If your last name is two characters enter a space at the end.

  3. Confirm your password, then click Register.

You then automatically log in to Sage HR for the first time and your dashboard appears.

๐Ÿ“ŽNOTE: If you don't have the option to create a Sage account (Sage ID) in your welcome email then this means you already have a Sage account for that email address.

Click the link in your welcome email and log in to your company. If you can't remember your password then use the Forgot your password option to reset it.

Two-factor authentication

When you log in to Sage HR for the first time, you may be prompted to set up two-factor authentication (2FA).
